General Information
California Department of Real Estate (DRE) Licensing Course Instructions
Step 1: Read the materials
Included in your package are 4 textbooks/E-Books, Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Practice, Implicit Bias and Legal Aspects of Real Estate
Step 2: Meet your minimum study time
The minimum enrollment period for each licensing course is 2 ½ weeks (18 days) and a minimum 45 hours per course.
Step 3: Take the quizzes
Quizzes may be taken as many times as you like. Quizzes are available in the printed books (answer keys are provided for self-grading). Quizzes are also available to our online students in our online school.
Step 4: Take the final exam(s)
Each final exam is open book and timed and consists of 100 multiple choice questions. The time allotted is 2 hours and 30 minutes per exam. You may take the final exam as many time necessary to obtain the minimum 60%.
Step 5: Receive your certificate(s)
Once you have passed an exam for each course, the Certificate of Completion for that course will be provided. The student is required to send the Certificate(s) of Completion to the DRE with the exam/license application. Note: Once you pass an exam, the Certificate of Completion never expires.
Step 6: Apply for the DRE exam and license
You are responsible for sending Certificate(s) of Completion to DRE with your exam/license application. The DRE does not accept course completions directly from schools. The DRE forms, fee, addresses and application instructions are available at our office or www.dre.ca.gov. To contact the DRE directly, call 1-877-373-4542 or go to www.dre.ca.gov
Step 7: Fill out the online course and instructor evaluation form
A course instructor evaluation form is available on the California Department of Real Estate (DRE) website at www.dre.ca.gov. Access this form by typing in “RE318A” in the search box located in the upper right corner of the home page. We will also email the form upon completion.
General Information
One year enrollment period/re-enrollment
Your enrollment is good for one year. If you do not pass your exams within the one year enrollment period, you must re-enroll in order to take the exams. The re-enrollment fee is $35 per course and includes another full year of enrollment. Re-enrollment re-starts the 18-day minimum study time per course. Re-enrollment by:
1.) Calling (619) 773-0288 or 2.) Come into office.
Refund / Cancellation Policy
Your enrollment in our School of Real Estate courses poses no risk to you. If you find you are dissatisfied with your courses at any time during your one-year enrollment and *prior to taking any exams, call us at 619-773-0288 to receive a refund (less $25 registration fee & $80 for Books & Materials), no questions asked.

Correspondence Course Identification Statement
Participants shall present one of the following forms of identification immediately before the administration of the final examination:
A) current California driver’s license. B) Current identification card described in Section 13000 of the California Vehicle Code C) Identification of the participant issued by a government agency or recognized real estate related trade organization with thein immediately preceding 5 years which bears a photograph, signature and identification number of the participant.

Final Examination Notes
An offering may include a provision for one retake of a different final examination by a student who failed the original final examination provided the questions in the re-examination are different questions than those contained in the original examination. A student who fails the re-examination cannot receive credit for the course. The student is not barred from enrolling and completing the same course but must retake the course and pass the final examination to complete the course and receive a course completion certificate.
